Taught by faculty with industry experience, the curriculum offers a broad focus for students who wish to explore the broader issues of the supply chain from team leadership to activity based costing.
The supply chain management certificate is ideal for supply side managers, buyers, logistics professionals and professionals required to lead cross - functional teams.
Available in a certificate program format, and now entirely online, Lehigh University provides the tools you need to be successful with the Supply Chain Management Certificate program.
Using practical applications, the program focus is on the proactive management of the movement and coordination of goods, services and information from raw material to end user through the value chain.

Program of Study
The Supply Chain Management Certificate requires 12 credit hours
Six credit hours are in required courses:
GBUS 450 - Strategic Supply Management (3)
GBUS 453 - Transportation and Logistics Management (3)
Electives: Choose an additional six credit hours to complete the certificate:
GBUS 447 - Negotiation (3)
GBUS 459 - Survey of Project Management (3)
Activity Based Costing and Activity Based Management (1)
Advanced Team Leadership (1)
Cost and Performance Management (2)
Enhancing Supplier Cost Performance (1)
Legal Aspects of Managing People, Products and Services (1)

Learning Options
Credit Participation: All courses offered may be taken for Lehigh academic credit only by students admitted to Lehigh University.
- The Non-Degree Admission Application form should be submitted along with copies of undergraduate transcripts and two (2) letters of recommendation.
- No GMAT score is required for Non-Degree admission unless a student wishes to continue and pursue a Lehigh MBA degree at a later date.
- All Supply Chain Management Certificate courses taken and successfully completed for credit may transfer to the Lehigh MBA (acceptance into the MBA program is not guaranteed, and all applicants must meet admission standards).
- An official Lehigh University transcript listing the courses will be issued and students will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Professional Continuing Education (PCE) Online Participation: All courses offered may be taken on a non-credit basis for professional development.
PCE registrants:
- Are not matriculated at Lehigh University
- Do not submit work for evaluation
- Do not receive Lehigh University credits in any form
- Do not generate a Lehigh University transcript
- Will receive a Certificate of Completion
PCE participation in online courses simply requires completion and submission of the LESN-Online Professional Continuing Education Registration and Payment form.
Professional Continuin Education (PCE) Satellite Participation: All courses offered for non-credit satellite participation may be taken by an individual or with a site-license registration. Participation option for non-credit satellite courses is available only through LESN-Partner sites.
PCE registrants:
- Are not matriculated at Lehigh University
- Do not submit work for evaluation
- Do not receive Lehigh University credits in any form
- Do not generate a Lehigh University transcript
- Will receive a Certificate of Completion
Site-license registration allows unlimited viewing access in accordance with the following conditions. Organizations wishing to obtain non-credit educational programming provided via live broadcast must register specific reception sites with the University. Each registered site will:
- Access the program via live satellite transmission
- Make and retain one recording of the program to be used for playback only within its facilities for educational purposes for the duration of the course. The program tape may not be edited, altered, or rebroadcast on any system other than one totally within the site facilities
- Ensure that the recorded copy of the program is not used in any manner without the original and complete copyright notice and credits, duplicated, sold, rented, or provided free to individuals or organizations outside the site facilities
- Erase the recorded copy immediately after the course ends
- Access one complete set of print course materials from the course website that may be duplicated only for use in conjunction with the legitimate use of the tape copy of the program
- Register site license program participation by submitting attendance form.
PCE participation in satellite courses simply requires completion and submission of the Professional Ccntinuing Education Course Registration Form.
Delivery Systems
The 12 credit hour Supply Chain Management Certificate Program is available as either a non-credit or for-credit program offering. Choose either option based on your career needs and academic intentions. Lehigh University’s commitment to academic excellence ensures your educational experience will prepare you for the challenges you face in today’s dynamic work environment.
Online – If your job requires frequent travel, or you prefer learning at a different pace, the Supply Chain Management Certificate is available in a web-based format.
Satellite – Lehigh Educational Satellite Network offers distance courses through our partner companies. Some classes may be held on campus.
On Campus – Students taking classes for credit may opt to attend on campus and receive the benefit of student and faculty interaction within the MBA program. With classes scheduled conveniently in the evenings, you can continue to work while you earn your certificate. This option is not available for professional continuing education participation.
