Lehigh University’s Office of Distance Education has been providing graduate programs and certificates to working professionals for over 14 years. Our commitment to providing graduate programs and courses by distance education emphasizes academic excellence through internationally renowned faculty, a shared community of learners, and relevant, market driven programs.
Lehigh University's distance education program provides the student with the same level of educational excellence for which Lehigh University is renowned and strives to maintain the same level of quality of instruction and student service that is available to our on-campus students.
Lehigh's Office of Distance Education delivers graduate programs and certificates using several different technology platforms, allowing us to provide courses that meet the varied needs of our students. Courses may be live or asynchronous, by satellite or over the Internet. Our staff works closely with faculty members to develop courses using delivery mechanisms that create the best learning environment for our students. Our two main delivery mechanisms are live satellite broadcast to partner sites and asynchronous online streaming video. Please see below for details on our program offerings and delivery options.

LESN - SATELLITE
LESN's satellite program is the closest you can get to classroom participation. Our on-campus courses are broadcast live via satellite and received at corporate venues. By blending the traditional campus format with a corporate environment, students interact in real-time with the professor and converse with other students through LESN's multi-line phone bridge. All courses are archived for review and students have access to Lehigh's state-of-the art computer and library systems. Exams are proctored at the worksite by a company-designated site coordinator.
